Coverage of the work across twelve British Columbia news publications, most of it tied to Finlo's invitation to Web Summit Vancouver 2026.

None of this was the point of the work, and I try to hold it loosely. Coverage is a strange thing to receive at seventeen: it describes a version of you that is tidier than the actual week you are having. What I do value is that people at home read it — teachers, my parents' friends, students at my school who had no idea any of this was possible for someone their age. If the articles do anything useful, it is that.

In May 2026, twelve publications across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley ran the same story: a Surrey student among the youngest founders invited to Web Summit Vancouver.

I handle press for Finlo myself — the release, the contact line, the follow-ups. It is a small reminder that being written about and doing the writing are not far apart.

The reason I keep these in one place is practical rather than sentimental. When I ask someone to take a young team seriously, it helps to have something outside my own account of it.

Being written about is not the same as being useful. The articles sit in the same folder as the weeks nobody covered, and the second folder is much thicker.
